School Garden Skill Builder Workshop

Maricopa County

This workshop will share practical strategies for planning, maintaining, and integrating gardens into classroom curriculum while connecting students to agriculture, nutrition, and the environment. Educators who attend will receive heat-tolerant seeds, plants, and other garden necessities.

Culinary Connections Agriculture Institute
9 a.m. – 3 p.m., June 9, 2026
Maricopa County

Participants will hear from agricultural industry experts, learn about cattle nutrition and beef production, and watch a live culinary demonstration as a chef prepares a 5-course meal while discussing how agricultural products can be incorporated into culinary classrooms.

Sourdough 101
Sourdough 101 Workshop
3:30 – 5:30 p.m., June 10, 2026
Maricopa County

Learn the basics of sourdough baking while exploring how grains go from field to food. Participants will receive their own sourdough starter and discover simple ways to bring grain and fermentation science into their classrooms through engaging, real-world lessons.
